The Maltese national hockey team finished the qualifying games for the Euro Hockey Division B in the best possible way after beating Luxembourg 4-0 in a game they dominated from start to finish.
After two tough defeats against Ireland and Italy, the Maltese led by coach Chris Attard were determined to close this competition in a positive way.
Protagonist for the Maltese was Thomas Degiovanni who scored a hat-trick with Julian Bajada adding another.
Thus the Maltese ended this competition in seventh place.
