Luke Bajada was inspirational for Qormi Daikin who ended up in a 4-4 draw against GREE Żurrieq Wolves Hotsticks as he netted a poker and helped his team pass to the final of the Challenge Cup.
It was a very balanced and intense game between two of the best local hockey teams. The Yellow/Blacks were always on top but the Hotsticks always managed to equalize the score.
As Luke Bajada scored four goals, Żurrieq found the net through Kurt Bonnici, Christ Agius, Gary Bonnici and Alessandro Amore.
The two teams will meet again in the Challenge Cup final.
Umpires were Glen Bonello and Karl Chircop.
In a game from the under-16 league, Qormi Daikin beat Marsaskala Heat 3-2.
Giorgio Muscat continued to add to the goals he has already scored during this season when he clinched a double while Liam Carabott added another for Qormi.
Damien Lupu and Kyran Carabott reduced the scoring margin for Marsaskala.
Umpires were Karl Chircop and Oscar Toledano.
