Żejtun Band Club Rosso 33 are leading the Malta Darts Association First Division table after beating Birgu Boċċi Club A 5-3.
It was a thrilling affair between two teams who possess some high level players and that made the confrontation a balanced one.
Rosso 33 were always on top but the Cottonera side always kept up with the pace of the opponents and it was only at the end that they had to suffer the first seasonal defeat.
Champions Floriana Ajax A beat Sliema Lounge A 7-1 with their second team Floriana Ajax MCP dominating the encounter against Żejtun Laċċi Maypole as they won 8-0.
Hamrun Bayern achieved a good victory of 7-1 against Juventutis Domus.
In the second division, we had an absolute balance where three matches ended in a 4-4 draw (Top Gun vs Cox Bar, Birgu Boċċi Club B vs Żejtun Band Club B and Duke’s A vs Beland) while the only victory of the day was achieved by Żejtun Laċċi Reds who beat PO’s Bar Gudja 6-2.
In the third division, the biggest victory was achieved by Titans Tal-Balklor after a score of 8-0 against Żurrieq FC while Munchies also recorded a great victory of 7-1 against Nicolo Isouard.
MMG Darts got three very important points after a score of 6-2 against Sliema Lounge B while Tal-Ġilju Mqabba did not find it easy at all to beat Duke’s B 5-3.
