Anthony Borg and Godfrey Abela confirmed their place in the main round of the Premier League of Darts after passing through a consistent patch on the third day of the qualifying round held at St Caetan Club in Ħamrun.
Anthony Borg ousted four opponents to make it through the final after winning against Stefan Licari (3-1), Mario Farrugia (3-0), Eucharist Baldacchino (3-2) and Stephen Grima (3-1).
On his part, Godfrey Abela made it to the main round after positive results against Riyas Bonello (3-0), Kevin Aquilina (3-1), Olwyn Abela (3-1) and Gordon Stanmore (3-0).
Abela and Borg join Albert Scerri, Norbert Attard, Kirsten Aquilina and Enrico Scerri who have qualified from the first and second tournament.
Two more qualifying tournaments will be held in the coming weeks to determine the 10 finalists.
