The election will take place from 26 August to 5 September during the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. The Athletes’ Council acts as the liaison between athletes and decision-makers and influences how Paralympic sport and the Movement grow and develop globally.

Kravchenko is a two-time Paralympian and an award-winning Para sport advocate. In 2016 she became Malta’s first female swimmer and first female athlete since 1980 to represent the country at the Paralympic Games, repeating the feat in Tokyo 2020. Upon announcement of her nomination, Vladyslava commented:

“I am committed to being an active voice for athletes from regions where Para sport is still in its nascent stages, including small states, developing nations, regions in conflict, and countries with recently established National Paralympic Committees. My personal journey and academic pursuits have equipped me with the empathy, knowledge, and determination needed to drive meaningful change. I am confident that together, we can create a more supportive environment for all Para athletes, regardless of their geographic, political, and economic circumstances.”
