Maltese para athlete Nick Mercieca is set to represent Malta at the World Para Powerlifting Junior Championships taking place this week in Cairo, Egypt. Accompanied by his coach Matteo Aquilina, Mercieca will compete on Thursday, 9 October, in the men’s up to 59kg weight class, within the 18 to 20 age category.
The World Para Powerlifting Junior Championships is one of the most prestigious events on the international para sport calendar. It brings together promising young athletes from across the globe who are striving to make their mark in the sport and build towards future international and Paralympic success.
