In the last match of the Enemed Challenger League before the start of the play-offs, the Maltese under-19 team beat the other under-18 team 2-1.
This was a game between two youth selections who can be considered as the future of Maltese futsal with the match that turned out to be very balanced and that was decided in the last two minutes of the game.
It was the under-18 team that surged ahead through Isaac Vella with Ivin Gatt equalizing three minutes from the end of the first half.
The under-19 selection scored the winning goal through Collin Sammut.
Referees were Stefania Bonnici and Andrea Naudi.
Meanwhile, the dates of the semi-final matches of the Enemed Premier Futsal League have been announced where University of Malta ACJ Group will play against Swieqi United while champions Luxol face ŻRQ Bormla. These semi-finals will be played over two legs towards the end of April and the beginning of May.
On the other hand, the quarter finals of the Enemed Challenger League will be played as the Maltese under-19 team play against Gżira United Santa Margherita while Marsaskala Futsal have a commitment against Sliema Wanderers Futsal . The winner of these two clashes will play against Ta’ Xbiex Futsal or Birżebbuġa St Peter’s Futsal.
