Red Bull driver Max Verstappen will start from pole position in the upcoming Formula 1 race for the Spanish Grand Prix, as he was the fastest in qualifying.
Verstappen achieved the best result on the track in “Catalonia” with a time of 1:12.272 minutes. It is the 24th career pole position for the two-time world champion.
Second place was taken by Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz, 0.462 seconds behind. McLaren’s Lando Norris was third, 0.520 seconds behind. Alpine driver Pierre Gasly will start from the fourth position, Lewis Hamilton from Mercedes will start from fifth, and Lance Stroll from Aston Martin from sixth.
Alpina driver Esteban Ocon was seventh, Nico Hulkenberg from Haas eighth, Fernando Alonso from Aston Martin ninth, and McLaren driver Oscar Piastri will start the race 10th.
The Spanish Grand Prix race takes place on Sunday from 3 p.m.
