The player of the Moroccan national football team, Hakim Ziyech, said today, after the victory in the game against Belgium (2:0) in the second round of Group F at the World Cup, that the game was strong, especially in defense.
– We played a strong game, especially in defense. We waited for their (Belgium’s) mistakes and I think thanks to that we took the lead and scored at the right moment – said Ziyech, who was named the best player of the match.
Ziyech said that he does not deserve the trophy of the best player, because it is a collective effort and work.
He assessed that the match was easier than the draw against Croatia.
– The first game against Croatia was more difficult for us. We couldn’t play our game, Croatia played a very good game then – said Ziyech.
Morocco is now leading the group with four points, Belgium is second with three points, while Croatia with one and Canada with no points have a game in hand. Croatia and Canada started the match today at 17:00.
