Paul Mbong is very close to returning to Maltese football, the former Birkirkara forward is close to agreeing terms with Floriana FC, MaltaSport understands.
The move is expected to see Mbong join the Greens until the end of the season, adding pace, experience, and attacking depth as Floriana look to strengthen their options for the decisive phase of the campaign.
MaltaSport can also confirm that Sliema Wanderers had made efforts to secure the player’s services. However, Mbong is understood to have given his preference to Floriana, with negotiations now at an advanced stage.
An official confirmation is expected once final details are completed, as Floriana move closer to sealing another important addition to their squad.
