Ajax against Aston Villa the 'top match' of the last 16 in UEFA's UECL competition

The Europa Conference League round of 16 draw took place at the UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland on Friday at 1pm.

The last 16 were paired as follows:

Ajax (NED) v Aston Villa (ENG)
Dinamo Zagreb (CRO) v PAOK (GRE)
Maccabi Haifa (ISR) v Fiorentina (ITA)
Molde (NOR) v Club Brugge (BEL)
Olympiacos (GRE) v Maccabi Tel-Aviv (ISR)
Servette (SUI) v Viktoria Plzeň (CZE)
Sturm Graz (AUT) v LOSC Lille (FRA)
Union SG (BEL) v Fenerbahçe (TUR)

Ties will take place over two legs, with the group winners at home in the second legs. Ties who will be still draw after 180 minutes of play (2 legs) will go to extra time irrespective of the number of goals each team has scored at home and away. If the teams still cannot be separated after the additional 30 minutes, the tie goes to a penalty shoot-out.

The first legs are scheduled for 7 March, with the second legs a week later on 14 March.

The winners of the eight ties advance to the quarter-finals, with the draw scheduled for Friday 15 March. The losers are out of 2023/24 European competition.

The 2023/24 Europa Conference League final will take place at Athens’ AEK Arena on 29 May.
