Tottenham claimed a 2-0 victory over West Ham in the city derby clash, after a goalless first half.
With this crucial win, “The Spurs” have moved up to fourth place in the table, which leads to next season’s Champions League. Meanwhile, West Ham is now in 18th position and threatened with relegation from the league.
The second half was full of action, with Tottenham pushing forward to score the decisive goals. In the 56th minute, Hojbjerg passed the ball to Davis, who then set up Emerson Royal to find the back of the net.
Son came on in the 68th minute as a “golden wild card” to replace Richarlison, and just four minutes later, he scored Tottenham’s second goal. Kane made a skillful run with the ball before passing it to Son, who made no mistake in putting the ball past goalkeeper Fabianski.
With this win, Tottenham has improved its position in the table and secured a place in the top four. West Ham, on the other hand, has now been pushed closer to the bottom of the table, increasing the pressure on the team to avoid relegation.
Tottenham will face Burnley in their next Premier League fixture, while West Ham will host Manchester City.
