Stuttgart extends contract with coach Sebastian Hoeneß

Sebastian Hoeneß , the coach of Stuttgart’s football team, has extended his contract with the club for two more years, until 2027.

“Stuttgart is a special club. As a child, I sat in this stadium and cheered for the club,” stated Hoeneß , putting an end to speculations that he might succeed Thomas Tuchel as the coach of Bayern Munich.

In just 11 months at the helm, Hoeneß has transformed them, saving them from relegation last season and currently placing them third on the table, with ten matches remaining in the championship.

With 50 points from 24 matches, they have achieved its best performance at this stage of the season, surpassing even the team that won the Bundesliga in 2007.

Tonight, Stuttgart hosts Union Berlin in the 25th round of the Bundesliga, and with a potential victory, they could narrow the gap to second-placed Bayern Munich to just one point.
