English football player Raheem Sterling, who plays as a winger, decided to change the midfield this transfer window, by strengthening the ranks of Chelsea.
Namely, he left Manchester City for around 55 million euros, where he spent seven years, and joined Chelsea.
In that period, he won four Premier League titles.
“I felt that my playing time at Manchester City was decreasing and I couldn’t allow myself to do that. I didn’t want my game time to fluctuate, so I made this change. I tried to fight back and change my situation, but I couldn’t and that’s why I came here,” Sterling said.
During his stay in Sita, he scored 91 league goals in 225 matches, while in Europe he had 24 goals in 68 matches.
“Chelsea has been in four or five finals in recent years. It shows that they are there to compete and I believe they will only grow with the new owners, so the transfer made sense,” added Sterling.
He also referred to the fact that he was coach Tuchel’s great wish.
“He told me that he wanted my direct style of play, how I manage to run behind the defense and how I attack the defenders. This is something he wants to see more of in his team,” said the English footballer.
This is Sterling’s third team in the Premier League, after City and Liverpool.
