Sinisa Mihajlovic reacted emotionally to one question at the last press conference in Italy, due to a non-football topic.
Bologna will host Salernitana on Saturday, and before the game, the Serbian coach was asked about the current topic – the conflicts in Ukraine and Russia.
– I am sure that war cannot and must not be the only way to solve the problem. I remember when I became the European champion with the Red Star, it happened in my country. Then, when they bombed my country, at the moment of conquering the Scudetto with Lazio – said Mihajlovic.
He also recalled how he experienced every moment he did not spend with his family, and revealed that he could hardly wait to go to training because only during training could he not think about what was happening.
– I wanted my training to last 24 hours, the matches to last all day. Only in those moments, I did not think about war and bombing – said Mihajlovic, before he was broken by emotions and left the conference.
