Juventus have officially announced the dismissal of head coach Thiago Motta and the appointment of Igor Tudor as his replacement. Following developments on Saturday evening, the club prepared both official statements: one confirming the end of Motta’s time in charge and the other announcing Tudor’s return. Both were released on Sunday.
In the statement, Juventus thanked Thiago Motta and his staff for their professionalism and dedication over the past few months, and wished them all the best for the future. The club also confirmed that Igor Tudor will take over as head coach of the men’s first team, with his first training session scheduled for Monday.
Motta will not be on the bench for Juventus’ next match against Genoa, which kicks off at 18:00 on Saturday, 29 March. Instead, Tudor will lead the team. He is already familiar with the club, having previously served as Andrea Pirlo’s assistant.

The decision to appoint Tudor came after Juventus moved away from talks with Roberto Mancini. Tudor showed a willingness to join the club under their terms, accepting a contract until the end of the season, without any promises beyond that. He takes on the role as an interim solution to help steer the team through the final stretch of the campaign.
