The legendary striker of Manchester United, Louis Saha, commented on the decision of the former club to extend the contract with Marcus Rashford for another season.
Rashford has been playing exceptionally well since the arrival of manager Erik ten Hag, so this season he has 18 goals and eight assists in all competitions.
“Marcus is very intelligent, but he’s also quite loyal.” He suffered a lot in the previous two years due to poor performances and a frivolous approach to matches, but he got back on track, and in what way? “He’s been playing amazing since the start of the season; I wouldn’t want that to change,” said Saha, who added:
“I believe that he will repay the club for everything they gave him and manager Ten Haag, who believed in him from the beginning.” I don’t believe he will leave while playing at this level. I think Manchester United is the best place for Rashford. He scores a handful of goals and can establish himself as one of the top 10 players in the world. Maybe he’ll want to leave in two or three years; why not? “If he regains the Premier League title with United, I believe he could leave the club after that.”
Saha played for Manchester United from 2004 to 2008, and during that period he played 124 matches, scored 42 goals, and recorded 17 assists.
Manchester United recently reached the final of the League Cup, and if they beat Newcastle on February 26, they will win their first trophy since 2017, when they won the Europa League.
