Leicester Football Club confirmed today that they have sacked Brendan Rodgers.
The two sides ended their cooperation by mutual agreement, after the defeat of the “foxes” away to Crystal Palace (2:1).
“Leicester and Brendan Rodgers have mutually terminated their cooperation. Brendan leaves after four years as one of the most successful managers in the club’s history. With him, we won the FA Cup in 2021, which was the first trophy in the club’s history in that competition.
In the same year, we won the Community Shield, and for two years in a row we played in European competitions”, it was announced from Leicester.
“Foxes” will be led by Adam Sadler and Mike Stowell, longtime members of the coaching staff, in the rest of the season.
After 28 games, Leicester ranks 19th in the Premier League with 25 points. Leeds, who are in the safety zone, have a point more.
