PSG NEAR THE TITLE: Mbappe escaped Lacazette with goals in Auxerre

The players of PSG celebrated on the road to Auxerre in the 36th round of the French League 1 with a score of 2:1 and thus came one step away from defending the title in the French championship thanks to the goals of Kylian Mbappe.

Kylian Mbappe hinted at the very beginning of the match that the Parisians were heading for a new title. After the goal in the sixth minute, the same player was the scorer just two minutes later with an assist from Messi.

By the end of the match, Auxerre only managed to reduce the score thanks to a goal from Sinayoko in the 51st minute.

Mbappe could have scored a hat-trick, but his goal in the 93rd minute was disallowed for offside.

The Frenchman has scored 28 goals this season and is the top scorer in the French Ligue 1 with two goals ahead of Lacazette from Lyon.

PSG need one point in the remaining two rounds to secure a new French title.

Lens, which is the first runner-up of the Parisians with six points behind, took advantage of Saturday’s defeat of Marseille against Lille and with a 3:1 triumph against Lorient away from home, came within a point to secure second position and direct placement in the Champions League.
