The football club Paris Saint-Germain fired the Argentinian coach Mauricio Pochettino, as was announced for several months.
The Parisians announced that Pochettino had finished his work at the “Park of the Princes”, thanked him for his cooperation and wished him luck in the future, and his colleagues and assistants in the professional staff left the club with him.
Pochettino took over at Paris Saint-Germain last January and led the team in 84 games, winning the league title, the French Cup and the Champions Trophy.
French media reported that in the afternoon Paris Saint-Germain will present the new coach Christophe Galtier, who led Nice at the end of June.
An agreement between Galtier and the “Saints” was already reached, but the details remain. The entire work around the new coach should cost around 25 million euros.
The Parisians agreed with Nice for about 10 million euros in compensation, while the remaining 15 should belong to former PSG coach Mauricio Pochettino in compensation.
