Tomorrow, the players of Serbia will play the first match of the qualifiers against Lithuania at the Rajko Mitic stadium, and in the announcement of that match, the coach of the Eagles, Dragan Stojkovic Piksi, spoke.
Serbia is in qualifying Group G, together with our national team Hungary, Bulgaria and Lithuania.
When it comes to the lineup for tomorrow’s match, Piksi is preparing surprises and indirectly announces the duel with Montenegro, which is scheduled for Monday at the “Pod Gorica” stadium.
“I’m preparing a surprise. It’s always kind of a surprise for you, and I look to do the best job I can. I can’t say the composition of the sims, but there will be surprises. We have another game soon, don’t forget, and I know it. That’s why you need to be wise”, pointed out Dragan Stojkovic Piksi.
The European Football Championship is scheduled from June 14 to July 14, 2024.
When it comes to favourites, the Serbian coach believes that all five national teams have equal chances to qualify for the European Championship.
“We respect all opponents. As always, we concentrate on our game. It will be a challenge for us. This is just the beginning. All five teams in the group have the same chance to be part of Europe. I know that they changed the coach and that some players play in Serbia. We have all the information about Lithuania, as they do about us. So there are no surprises,” said Stojkovic.
The match between Serbia and Lithuania is on the program tomorrow at 20:45, while our national team will play a match against Bulgaria at 18:00 at the “Ludogorec Arena”.
