The president of Paris Saint-Germain, Nasser Al Khelaifi, stirred up the European public by announcing that the club could part with Neymar, but there is one serious problem.
Namely, the Brazilian football player currently has a contract that is valid until the end of June 2025, worth 30,000,000 euros per net season.
According to the respected L’Equipe, Neymar has a clause in his contract that brings him an automatic extension of cooperation for a year, which was activated last summer and is currently tied to the French champion until 2026.
The second clause implies that Neymar will receive an automatic extension of cooperation for an additional year this summer, which will be activated on July 1!
So, when everything is taken into account, Neymar has an active contract until the end of June 2027! So, exactly five more years for a total of 150,000,000 euros!
It will be difficult for Paris Saint-Germain to get rid of him, especially for so much money when the Brazilian hardly wants to give up, and except for Newcastle, there are no announcements that anyone could take him.
