Milan football players defeated Lecce with a score of 2:0 in the 31st round of the Italian Serie A and thus responded to city rival Inter for today’s victory over Empoli.
Milan thus remained in the race for the number four spot, which they lost after Juventus were given back the confiscated points.
Rafael Leao put Milan in the lead in the 41st minute after taking advantage of Tonali’s assist.
Leće had chances in this match, but Banda hit the post in the first half, while Strefeca had a great chance in the 70th minute of the game.
Just five minutes later, Leao made a nice shot from 16 meters for the second goal in this match and thus set the final result.
Milan is currently in fifth place in Serie A with 56 points, the same number as fourth-placed Roma with a match more.
Lecce, on the other hand, with 28 points, is two points away from the relegation zone, i.e. Verona, which is currently in 18th place, leading to Serie B.
