Argentinian football player Lionel Messi spoke about the current events of his football career.
Messi also spoke about his relationship with the fans, now of his former club PSG, which broke when a large number of them began to treat him differently.
At the end of the season, after two years, Messi left Paris and signed a contract with Inter Miami.
In the second part of the season, Lionel was booed by the fans at the Park of the Princess, which is why the club had to react and increased the security around his house.
“At the start it was something beautiful, but then some people started to treat me differently. I think the majority still treat me as they did at the beginning, but there was a break with a significant group of fans, which was by no means my intention.” Leo revealed to the BBC.
He reminded that this happened to other players, such as Mbappe and Nejmar.
“I know that they behave like that. I will remember the people who respected me, as I have always respected everyone since I came.”
He also said that he doesn’t know if his relationship with the fans was affected by the fact that he won the World Cup in Qatar with the national team, winning against France in the final.
In May, he broke Cristiano Ronaldo’s record for the number of goals in the five strongest European leagues, and scored a total of 807 goals for the clubs where he played.
“I have nothing more to achieve, I have achieved everything.” said one of the best football players in the history of this game.
He pointed out that his individual achievements were always on the back burner, but that they pleased him.
“I achieved the most important goal, which is to win the World Cup with my national team, and that is something extraordinary. I never thought about individual awards and they never meant as much to me as collective ones. To achieve a goal with the national team and to achieve all that on an individual level is close to an extraordinary career for me.” Messi said.
