Melita FC continued their excellent season after a historic Challenge League win and promotion to the Premier League with a win in the U17 Knockout. Melita Youths also won the Section B League undefeated so this is the third honour of the season for this small yet tenacious club.
The Under 17s secured another major honour for the Amateurs with a hard fought Final victory over Hibernians courtesy of a Daniel Pawley volley three minutes from time.
In a tense match played in front of a bumper crowd at the Luxol Stadium, both teams showed great character to continue fighting till the end. But in the end it was Melita who secured the club’s third major honour and cap off a fantastic season for their competitive squads.
