THE KING ANSWERED MBAPPE: "I'm glad you're breaking my records at the World Cup"

Kylian Mbappe, one of the best soccer players today, was one of the first to publicly send a message of support to the world soccer legend after the news of Pele’s deteriorating health.

The day before the round of 16 match against Poland, the French representative wrote on his Twitter profile:

We pray for the king – marking Pele.

In the aforementioned match, Mbappe hit the back of the net twice, breaking the record of the 82-year-old Brazilian and becoming the first footballer to score nine goals at the World Cup before turning 24 years old.

A week later, the legend’s answer arrived:

Thank you my friend, I look forward to watching you break some more of my records at this World Championship!

Mbappe is defending the “Goddess” in Qatar with his representative teammates. England is waiting for the French in the quarter-finals, and if they reach the final, the star of PSG will have a chance to make history again. Along with Vava, Jeff Hurst, and Zinedine Zidane, Pele is a footballer with three goals in the World Cup finals. Mbappe has scored one so far, four years ago against Croatia in a 4:2 victory, when the French national team climbed to the top of the world.
