Manchester City has won a legal battle in the Premier League regarding two sponsorship deals that took place last year.
The Arbitration Panel stated that the Premier League’s rules on Associated Party Transactions are in violation of both UK competition law and the law itself.
These sponsorships involved First Abu Dhabi Bank and the Etihad Aviation Group, and the Arbitration Panel has ruled that they must be ratified.
