Philipp Lienhart, a 25-year-old football player from Austria, is probably not very familiar to you, but we could actually learn a lot from him.
Back in 2014, Lienhart left Rapid for Real Madrid, he even managed to make his debut for the first team under the leadership of Rafa Benitez in 2015, but he still left no trace for the Santiago Bernabeu.
However, a little later, Lienhart went to Freiburg and since then he started to progress and to see some things from a distance.
- I was surprised when I saw players under the age of 17 walking around with 500-euro bags. I don’t think it’s necessary, it is not good when a young football player earns so much money. This way, one loses awareness of what is really important in one’s career. That’s how you lose young talents – Lienhart said.
He also mentioned a clear difference between Real Madrid and Freiburg.
- Freiburg is more of a family club and that is why it is special. It is different in Real – the football player points out and adds that he would return to Madrid:
- “It would be a big leap for me. I would have to make a lot of progress to make that possible. I’d like to get a chance to come back. It was a great experience for me and I would not refuse – says the football player.
