Polish national team player Robert Lewandowski, the new player of Barcelona, said that he does not want anyone to compare him with Real striker Karim Benzema.
Spanish journalists claim that these two players will fight for the title of the best scorer in the Spanish championship.
“Benzema is an outstanding player. He showed it in the games last season in the Champions League when he knocked out PSG, Chelsea and Manchester City with Real. He has been in La Liga for 10 or even 12 years – I don’t know for sure. Benzema knows this league perfectly, and in the LS he proved that he is one of the best players in the world,” Lewandowski said.
“I think it’s great that there are so many good strikers in La Liga. It will be more interesting for fans and spectators. I don’t want to compare myself to Benzema at the moment. A new challenge awaits me, which I accept, and he has been an icon for many years in La Liga. In the last season, he showed how good he really is,” said the Barcelona player.
Lewandowski has not yet scored a goal in the shirt of the Catalan club.
“The most important thing for me is what result we will achieve as a club. How will we play, will we go from victory to victory? That’s my goal,” said the Polish representative at the end.
