He explained the details with the company “Spotify,” after which the stadium will be given a commercial name.
“In the 2020/21 season, we had the worst balance sheets in the history of the club, with losses of 481 million euros and total debts of 1,350 billion euros, without money in the accounts. We were on the verge of bankruptcy, and we had to find a solution. A contract with “Spotify” is one of the solutions, as is a long-term bank loan. “We are stable. We can move forward, but we cannot relax,” Laporta said.
Barcelona will receive 60 million euros a year from the music giant, and a contract has been signed with the bank “Goldman Sachs“, which gave a loan of 595 million euros.
