Barcelona winger Raphinha has signed a new contract that will keep him at the club until 2028, the LaLiga champions confirmed on Thursday.
The 28-year-old Brazilian has become a cornerstone of the Catalan side’s recent success since arriving from Leeds United in 2022. Originally contracted through June 2027, Raphinha has now extended his stay by an additional year after a standout campaign that saw him contribute 34 goals and 25 assists in 56 appearances across all competitions.
“This is very rewarding for me and is something very special,” Raphinha said in an interview with Barça One. “It makes me very happy, and a personal objective since I arrived has been to give the fans a lot of joy.”
Raphinha’s impact has been instrumental in Barcelona’s domestic treble-winning season, with the Brazilian playing a leading role in their LaLiga, Copa del Rey, and Spanish Super Cup triumphs. Since joining the Blaugrana, he has lifted five major trophies: two LaLiga titles, two Spanish Super Cups, and one Copa del Rey.

Having quickly become a fan favorite thanks to his direct style, tireless work rate, and eye for goal, Raphinha also expressed his long-term intentions to remain at the club.
“I have spoken to my family and my dream is to be here until the end of my career,” he added. “And I hope to do it at my best.”

Barcelona’s decision to extend his deal comes as the club continues to build toward the future with a core of talented, experienced players. Raphinha’s commitment adds further stability and star power to a side determined to remain at the top of both domestic and European football.
