Barcelona manager Hansi Flick couldn’t conceal his disappointment following his team’s 1-1 draw against lowly Getafe on Saturday, which extended their winless streak in LaLiga to four matches.
Flick expressed his frustration at Barca’s missed opportunities in a game they dominated, holding almost 80% of possession and having twice as many goal attempts as the home side.
“We were aiming for a victory and had plenty of chances to achieve it. I’m extremely disappointed that we couldn’t convert more goals,” Flick conveyed during a press conference.

“The challenges of playing here in Getafe are evident. They defend admirably. Despite creating opportunities, our shots weren’t on target. We must persist and improve our passing accuracy,” Flick added.
“The stadium was filled with intense emotions, evident in every action and contact. I’ve never encountered anything like this before. It’s a new experience for me, and I need to adapt.”

Barcelona has struggled to win at the sold-out Getafe Coliseum for five consecutive seasons due to the feverish atmosphere it creates.
Barcelona currently occupy the third position in the standings with a total of 39 points. They are trailing behind second-placed Real Madrid by four points and leaders Atletico by five points. Real Madrid, who have a match in hand, will be hosting Las Palmas on Sunday.
Reflecting on the recent result, Flick expressed his regret, saying, “If only we could have scored another goal. Unfortunately, there’s nothing I can do now but accept the outcome.” However, he emphasized that the journey is far from over and they will continue to fight until the end to win LaLiga. Although they missed out on two points, they managed to secure one, so they must look ahead and strive for improvement in the future.
