Niko Kovac, the Croatian coach, was fired in Monaco earlier this month, and the British media are now reporting that he could soon have a new job.
The former Croatian coach is now linked with Everton, who fired Spanish coach Rafa Benitez last Sunday, who had desperate results.
The British Telegraph reported that Everton first contacted Jose Mourinho, who has a job in Roma, but he immediately refused.
For now, Kovac is the only concrete opponent, Wayne Rooney.
Everton would like to see Robert Martinez again, but he is not released by the Football Association of Belgium.
Frank Lampard, who is another English playing legend along with Rooney, is also expected to talk to Everton leaders.
Duncan Ferguson is the current acting coach.
