Once hailed as one of the Premier League’s top goalkeepers, Kasper Schmeichel has now made a move from French club Nice to Anderlecht in Belgium, as reported by Belgian media.
Anderlecht has enjoyed a strong start to the new season, securing 13 points in six matches, putting them in a shared first place with Gent, despite the reigning champions having a game in hand. However, the team’s manager, Brian Riemer, is reportedly concerned about the five goals conceded during these six rounds.
In response to this concern, Anderlecht is bringing in Kasper Schmeichel as the new goalkeeper. Schmeichel, who was a Premier League champion in the past, will reportedly sign a one-year contract with the option to extend it for an additional year.
