Juventus spent a little less than 12,000,000 euros this summer in the transfer window. The bad economic situation affected the lack of reinforcements. However, the Turin giants have prepared a richer wish list for the January transfer window.
The Serbian national team member Lazar Samardžić is also on that list. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus wants to strengthen the midfield during the winter. And that in the central position, as well as in the position of offensive midfielder.
Juventus’ first target is Tottenham’s Pierre-Emil Hojbjerg. The Dane has a miserable role and playing time in Tottenham. And since the two teams have great relations (transfers of Kulusevski, Bentankour…) it is very realistic that the deal will come to a conclusion.
In Turin, they will invest all available forces to complete the transfer of the Danish midfielder. If they fail to do so, Samardžić and Monaco player Jusuf Fofana are the alternatives.
Interest in Samardžić was discussed as early as this summer. At that time, the 21-year-old midfielder was on the doorstep of Inter, and in a real soap opera, the whole business ended up failing.
Juventus see this as an opportunity to grab the Serbian who would undoubtedly add to the creativity in the midfield that Massimiliano Allegri’s team desperately lacks.
In addition to these three names, Juventus would like to see Manu Kone from Borussia Mönchengladbach or Habib Diarra from Strasbourg in the team. Both are French (although the latter was born in Senegal) and are very talented footballers.
Even Kone was rumored to be wanted by Liverpool, although that story did not go far. Which doesn’t mean they won’t. That’s why Juventus wants to beat the competition.
Finally, Sassuolo’s Domenico Berardi remains the first target to strengthen the attacking line. If an agreement is not reached with Sassuolo, who are asking for at least 35,000,000 euros for the Italian, the backup option is Georgy Sudakov from Shakhtar.
The management of Juventus has quite ambitious plans, especially when the economic situation in the club is taken into account…
