Cristiano Ronaldo has been spending the second year in Manchester United’s jersey. However, Juventus still haven’t gotten rid of the ballast left behind by the Portuguese.
A few months ago, the financial police in Italy raided the premises of Juventus to check the books of the famous club, especially in the case of Cristiano Ronaldo.
There was a well-founded suspicion that one of the best football players in the world had a higher income than the figures shown in the books.
Especially during the coronavirus pandemic when all players’ wages were cut. Now there have been new revelations that Juventus and Ronaldo had signed a secret document!
Namely, that document bypasses the decision to reduce the player’s salary during the coronavirus pandemic, which could cause serious problems for the “old lady”.
As the Italian media write, the giant from Turin will have to prepare suitcases of money for a fine that will most likely be no less than 20,000,000 euros, up to a maximum of 60,000,000 euros!
That’s not all. There are well-founded suspicions that Cristiano Ronaldo is not the only player who, with the help of similar secret agreements, tried to enforce the club’s decision during the coronavirus pandemic to reduce salaries in four months.
The players took turns committing to that measure, but in reality, at least in Ronaldo’s case, they had a separate agreement, away from the eyes of the tax and football authorities, to compensate them for the difference.
It seems that Juventus will not do so well in the whole story…
