MIXED FEELINGS FOR JURGEN KLOPP: We played an almost perfect match, but were left without Firmino!

Liverpool managed to beat Atletico Madrid at home in the fourth round of the Champions League.

The “Reds” celebrated with the result 2: 0, with dominance during the entire match. Jurgen Klopp expressed his satisfaction after the victory, but he is worried about the injury of Robert Firmino.

The Brazilian spent 33 minutes on the field, and after that Klopp had to take him out due to a knee tendon injury.

– In the second half, we played calmly and in a controlled manner. We had a very difficult schedule, and even with controlling the game, we lost Roberto Firmino. I believe that people expected us to score more goals, but one goal was annulled and we had several missed chances. I think we played an almost perfect game, just the way we wanted. We scored goals at the right moments – said Jurgen Klopp after the victory.

With this victory, Liverpool secured a place in the next phase of the competition. The “Reds” are first on the table with 12 points, while their first companion is Porto with 5. By the end of the group stage of the Champions League, there are two more matches left, which means that Liverpool is definitely the first no matter what happens in the next two rounds.

Jurgen Klopp‘s team will play another very demanding match this weekend. The West Ham team will be guests in London on Sunday at 5.30 pm, within the 11th round of the Premier League.
