German expert Jurgen Klopp became an honorary citizen of Liverpool.
The “Reds” manager was presented with the “Freedom of the City of Liverpool” award – the most prestigious civilian award.
Klopp is only the second foreigner to receive this recognition, before him the award was presented to Nelson Mandela.
“When you’re just mentioned in the same sentence as Mendel, it’s an incredible honor. Not to mention this one. I am delighted and grateful to everyone who thinks I deserve this,” said Jurgen.
