Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus will be sidelined for some time with a knee injury, also left out of the squad for the Emirates Cup tie with Monaco.
Arsenal announced before the match with the “princes” that they will not count on him. This worried the fans of the London club because Jesus was also out of the team for three months last season due to a knee problem.
“Gabriel Jesus misses tonight’s match due to a knee problem and we will monitor his condition in the coming days,” said Arsenal.
He had to have surgery on his right knee last winter after he was injured at the World Cup in Qatar during the match between Brazil and Cameroon.
The injury will certainly be a cause for concern for manager Mikel Arteta just ten days before the start of the new Premier League season.
