Zlatan Ibrahimović has officially signed a new contract with the Milan team, so he will play for the current champions of Italy next season as well.
The Swede has extended his contract for another year, so he will play even at the age of 41. although he will miss the entire 2022 calendar year due to a knee injury.
Despite this, Milan want to keep him because his contribution to the dressing room and leadership is immeasurable.
He revealed that he played injured last season as well.
“For the past half year, I have been playing practically without ligaments in my left knee. I trained only 10 times with the team during that period and received over 20 injections. Every day I drank analgesics for pain, I could rarely sleep”, said Ibrahimović.
Despite all that, he scored eight goals in 23 matches and thus contributed to the Scudetto for Stefano Pioli’s team after 11 years of fasting.
