Guimaraes is optimistic about Newcastle

New Newcastle footballer Bruno Guimaraes believes that the Magpies will be an important factor in European football in the years to come, after the arrival of new owners.
The Brazilian came from Lyon for 35 million pounds, and he will carry the number 39 on his back because that is the number of taxis that his father drove for two decades.

“This is a club that will be a great force in world football. The club has a rich, wonderful history and a great tradition. I have no doubt at all that I made the right decision,” said Guimaraes.

However, now the Magpies are fighting for survival, the penultimate ones are on the table, but only one point from the safe zone.

“The owners were honest and direct, they told me that the main goal now is to stay in the Premier League. But in the coming seasons, the goal is to play in the Champions League and potentially win it, “the Brazilian added.
