The annual general meeting of the Gozo Football Association was held on Thursday in the association’s headquarters. Apart from the usual agenda, which included the presentation of the administrative and financial reports, the meeting also featured the elections for association officials for the next four years.
There was a contest for the position of Association President, and after the voting was conducted, the current President, Dr Samuel Azzopardi, secured a fourth term by receiving sixteen votes against the twelve votes obtained by the other candidate, Dr Joseph Grech.
In the other positions, there were no contests, and the present officials were confirmed for another term. Michelangelo Grech and Carmel Zammit will continue as the two Vice Presidents, George Cini as Treasurer, while Francis Grech and Stephen Mercieca will remain as ordinary members of the executive committee.
