Alejandro Garnacho, an eighteen-year-old Argentine striker, will extend his contract with Manchester United despite strong interest from Real Madrid.
These days, Garnacho is more and more connected with the royal club, due to the huge interest of “los blancos” in adding the talented striker of Manchester United to the younger guard of players.
The current contract between Garnacho and United is valid until the beginning of 2024, so the club from “Old Trafford” started negotiations regarding its extension, considering that Real Madrid is waiting in line for his signature no less than Real Madrid.
Alejandro Garnacho shone this season, for the first time in a Europa League match, when he scored against Real Sociedad to become the youngest foreigner to score for United in Europe, breaking George Best’s record from 1964.
Specifically, United already conducted negotiations with Garnacho regarding the extension of cooperation; however, he refused to sign a new contract in which, instead of the current seven thousand pounds per week, he would earn as much as twenty thousand.
Everyone at the club feared that his goal was to follow in the footsteps of his idol, Cristiano Ronaldo, and move from Manchester to Madrid, since he must have heard that there was interest from the royal club.
However, the media close to the club are reporting today that Garnacho will still stay at Old Trafford, no less than until 2029, and with the new contract he will earn 30,000 pounds per week. Also, the contract includes bonuses for excellent games and goals that he will eventually have in the Manchester United shirt.
