Football club Barcelona has officially promoted the new head of the profession, Xavi Hernandez.
As it was announced in the previous days, the Catalan returned the club legend to his ranks.
There were many obstacles, but the owners of the rich club from the Middle East, after long negotiations, decided to let Hernandez return home.
- I really want to go home. I hope that happens. I have a contract and the clubs have started negotiations. They know what I want – Xavi said then.
Xavi played a total of 767 games and won 25 trophies in 17 years spent in the first team. Among which are eight Spanish titles (1998/99, 2004/05, 2005/06, 2008/09, 2009/10, 2010/11, 2012/13 and 2014/15) and four Champions Leagues (2005/06, 2008 / 09, 2010/11 and 2014/15).
What is especially interesting is that Xavi will now be the coach of several former teammates, such as Sergio Busquets, Gerard Pique, Sergi Roberto, Jordi Alba, and goalkeeper Ter Stegen.
