The legendary Sir Alex Ferguson is officially returning to Manchester United, in a new role.
As reported by the English media, Ferguson had a meeting with United’s leaders on Thursday, interestingly, on the same day when Cristiano Ronaldo returned to training at the club. It is also speculated that it was the Scot who convinced the Portuguese to stay at the club.
At the meeting, it was agreed that the legendary coach of the “Red Devils” would take on an advisory role regarding all events in the club.
This is the first time since his retirement that Ferguson has played an active role at Old Trafford. Let us remind you that in 2013 he officially said goodbye to the United bench.
During his time at the club, from 1986 to 2013, he won as many as 38 trophies, including 13 Premier League titles and two Champions League titles.
