Christian Eriksen returned to Amsterdam

Christian Eriksen, a Danish footballer, returned to the football field and started training with Ajax in Amsterdam.

Eriksen has been off the field since June 12 after suffering a heart attack on the field during the match against Finland at the European Championship when he played for Inter Milan, with whom he terminated his contract last month because he could not play in Italy due to a built-in defibrillator.

He has now decided to return to the field and start training with Ajax reserves in order to regain his condition and be ready for a new club. The Danish footballer started his senior career at Ajax and, as he says, he does not hide his satisfaction with returning to Amsterdam, where he feels at home.

“I am just happy to be here. I know people. I feel like I’m coming home because I’ve been in Amsterdam for so long, “Eriksen told the club’s website.

John Heiting, the coach of the second Ajax team, welcomed Eriksen to Amsterdam.

It’s great that he can train with us.” “Christian is a footballer who is an example for many of our guys, a source of inspiration,” said Heiting.

Earlier this month, the Danish footballer told the Danish media that he intends to play for Denmark at this year’s World Cup in Qatar.
