Arteta: I am empty and disappointed

Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta expressed his impressions after the draw with Southampton (3:3), within the 32nd round of the Premier League.

Arteta pointed out that his team gave the opponent chances to score three easy goals.

“I’m empty, obviously, because this was a very emotional game and I’m disappointed because we didn’t get three points. “After everything that happened in the game, I still think we deserved them, but we have to look in the mirror because we allowed the opponent three very easy goals, and when you do that it’s extremely difficult to win in this league,” said Arteta.

He also said that the team should forget about this game and focus only on the match with Manchester City.

“I think we all need to switch off tonight, digest this and start thinking tomorrow about the best way to go to Manchester and get them. I don’t see any lack of confidence when the team is capable of doing what we did tonight. So, the confidence is there, we just need to overcome those moments of weakness”, concluded the Arsenal coach.

Arsenal has five points more than Manchester City in the Premier League, but “Citizens” have two games behind.

The derby between City and Arsenal is on the program on the 26th from 21:00 at the Etihad.
