The legend of Juventus and Italian football, Alessandro Del Piero, had only words of praise for Dusan Vlahovic after the draw with Villarreal.
The Serbian football player scored a goal 30 seconds after the start of the game on his debut in the Champions League, thus breaking the record for the fastest goal scored among the debutants in this competition.
After a great game, the former goal scorer of the Bianco-Nero, Alessandro Del Piero, spoke up.
- Vlahovic played a great match. He sacrificed a lot for the team, especially in the second half. As for the record, all records will be broken, including mine. But he should not be compared to me or someone else, but he is a great player and he is on a great path, and that is why we should hope that he will always be better – said Del Piero.
On this occasion, he analyzed Vlahovic’s goal and stated that it was the goal of a real striker.
- It was a goal by a pure striker. The ball went to him and he attacked the depth where Villarreal had problems and then he scored as a real striker. He stopped the ball and pulled it to the side because otherwise it would have been blocked. Vlahovic knew exactly where the goal was and he didn’t have to look at all. He shot with his right hand and thus deceived the goalkeeper, a great goal – the Juventus legend added.
