In an interview with Sport1, French winger Kinglsey Coman explained that he does not regret that he missed the successful campaign of “Les Blues” at the 2018 World Cup due to injury, because otherwise he would not have met his future wife.
The Bayern winger then suffered a ligament rupture, which left him off the field during the summer, and missed the opportunity to play in the World Cup for the first time.
Although he explains that, due to the injury, he was “very sad” because his hopes of competing in the World Cup were categorically ruined, it brought him much more joy:
- I am even happy that I did not play in the World Cup. I met my wife during the tournament, which probably wouldn’t have happened if I had played in it. We are now married and have children together! – The Frenchman will describe interesting circumstances and added:
“My big goal, of course, is to win the World Cup with France in the years to come,” said Coman.
The Bayern player has been a standard player in the selection of Didier Deschamps since then, and he is expected to play for the French national team at the World Cup in Qatar.
