Cadiz defeated Mallorca 2:0 and escaped from the bottom of Primera!

Cadiz football players beat the Mallorca team on their home field in the first game of Saturday’s program of the 19th round of the Spanish Primera.

The match at the Nuevo Mirandilla stadium ended with a score of 2:0.

The home team took the lead in the tenth minute with a goal by Theo Bongonda, a reinforcement from Genk, Belgium. Veteran Alvaro Negredo played it well and the attacker from DR Congo beat the goalkeeper of the Serbian national team Predrag Rajković – 1:0.

In the 38th minute, a penalty was awarded to Cadiz after the VAR signaled that one of the guests’ defenders had been hit in the hand by the ball in the penalty area. Captain Alex Fernandes routinely scored a penalty and defeated Rajković – 2:0.

In the next round, Cadiz visits Bilbao, while Mallorca welcomes Real Madrid.
